There are 8 miles of nice, clean, guarded beaches along the whole coast. Beach tags are required from June through Labor Day. Seasonal tags cost $18.00, ($13.00 if purchased before May 31) weekly tags cost $8.00 and daily tags cost $4.00 for Monday through Friday. Weekend tags, Saturday or Sunday, are $5.00.

Ocean City beaches are clean, well guarded and the ocean is crystal clear.

There is handicap access to the beaches at 1st, 6th and 12th Streets. Sand wheelchairs can be reserved at the Sports and Civic Center - 525-9304

Lifeguards are on duty from 10 AM to 5 PM weekly and until 5:30 PM on weekends and holidays for your safety. Please obey the rules posted and the flag enclosed swimming areas. These are all safety precautions to protect you. The beach is open from dawn to dusk at your own risk.

Alcoholic beverages are forbidden on the beach at any time. Ocean City is a dry town and no public alcohol consumption is allowed.
